Health and Weight Loss

In my experience, health and weight loss are intrinsically linked.

Very often my clients come to me because of a health issue and find that in dealing with their diet to improve their health, a natural side effect is that they will also lose excess pounds in the process.

The eating habits that cause us to put on extra pounds also impact on our health. I work in a holistic way to address both health and weight loss without faddy diets or complicated rules; just clean, simple, delicious nutrition!

Dear Lucy-Ann, working with you on my nutrition has made a real difference to my diet, my health and my energy levels. In less than 3 months I have shed a stone and a half in weight and generally feel so much better than I did before. You have a real passion for health and nutrition, and I have found your advice and insights invaluable. This new way of eating and living is my way forward and I fully intend to keep it going. Thank you.” Lynne Butler , Eastbourne, East Sussex

Weight Loss

Do you struggle to lose weight… to get lean and STAY lean? Do you find yourself lurching from diet to diet or doubting that you will ever have the optimum body size and shape you really want?

Understanding how your body works, and why ‘diets and dieting’ fail in the long-term is the only sure-fire way to achieve successful and sustainable weight loss. There are some general guidelines which will work some people, but because each and every one of us has individual needs, and individual body types, for best results, I would encourage you to take a more personalised approach, in the form of my nutritional assessment and coaching programme.

I’ve been helping people lose weight successfully for over 20 years. During that time, I have devised several effective strategies that enable people to make any necessary practical changes, alter their relationships with food, implement new dietary habits, adopt new “eating styles” and learn much, much more about good food and good nutrition. Working with me is often a life-changing experience for them.

“Hi Lucy-Ann, I thought I just let you know that I have now lost just over a stone so am well on the way to reaching my target. My digestive system has also settled down so that is helpful too. Many thanks for all your help and advice which I am still following and intend to continue doing so.”  S.W. Hailsham, East Sussex

Health, Digestion and Disease

Do you suffer from poor health, poor digestion, low energy, or stress-related health problems?

Feeling run down all the time? Constantly tired? Catching cold after cold? Lost interest in sex? Or perhaps you are suffering from something more specific like IBS, constant bloating, diarrhoea or constipation?

The good news is that all these conditions can be alleviated through fuelling your body with good nutrition and eating the right food for you.

There are some general guidelines which will work for you to improve your overall health and energy levels, but because each and every one of us has individual needs, for best results, I would encourage you to undertake a fully personalised nutritional assessment and coaching programme.

I’ve successfully helped many people with “everyday” frustrating health problems such as low energy, digestive complaints, and IBS. I have also assisted those with more severe health conditions such as Rheumatoid Arthritis and other Auto-immune diseases, Diabetes, Endometriosis, and even Brain Trauma.

In all cases, I look to see, and assess the extent to which “diet” and food choices either play a part in their disease state, make symptoms worse or have been a trigger or causative factor in the development of the disease.

This is done via food diary analysis, as well as stool testing, if and when appropriate. I also have an excellent professional referral network, whereby I bring in or recommend other practitioners where necessary.

“I was introduced to Lucy-Ann through a mutual friend who had made a remarkable recovery from a serious illness by following Lucy-Ann’s dietary advice. Her proven track record was absolutely essential in my being able to even contemplate making some changes to my diet. Straight away, I knew I was in competent hands and I trusted her to advise me.

Although I felt I was relatively well educated about my food choices, I was suffering from almost constant nausea, felt completely disinterested in food, but felt very uncertain about what practical changes I could make, so I had done nothing. There was a lot of fear and resistance in beginning this work, but she seemed to really understand that it can be scary for people to begin a program of change.

I am a Coeliac and already follow a very strict gluten free diet. Lucy-Ann understood my situation completely and stepped me through her process. The structured approach really gave me a feeling of being in safe hands and I completed my food diary fastidiously every day. When it came to receiving her recommendations, she introduced changes to my diet in a gentle way, making sure I understood what I was doing and why. I really appreciated the fact her advice was tailor made for my specific situation, not just a generic gluten free diet, which I’d already been following.

I found the changes surprisingly easy to integrate into my normal routine and my symptoms disappeared very quickly. I found that I was full, even though I thought I might be hungry and what was even nicer was that I lost some excess weight from my stomach, even though that was not my original intention. It was a very pleasant side effect! I have not returned to my old eating patterns and I now feel so much better. I find myself craving fresh fruit if I go away, something I hardly ate before and the impact is rubbing off on my family, who are also eating a healthier diet than they were before.

I would heartily recommend Lucy-Ann to anyone who feels they need to take control of their diet for whatever reason.I cannot thank her enough for the insight she has brought me. Her guidance, support and encouragement have enabled me to make lasting change.” Lisa Dorey, Surrey
